| Having looked high
and low for two years for a country house, I found what I think of
as one of the most charming stores I have ever seen.
It happens to be an 1840’s store front on the town green of the magical village of Kinderhook, New York. After an extensive renovation of both the live and work spaces Michael Devine Home opened in September 2006. The store serves as an experiment for both design and lifestyle. It has allowed me to marry my six and a half years as style and party editor for HFN Magazine with my passion for design. The cornerstone of what we do is my hand printed fabric collection, it inspires and motivates the choices of merchandise in the store and in our interior design projects. |
