Kinderhook Shop
Having looked high and low for two years for a country house, I found what I think of as one of the
most charming stores I have ever seen in my travels around the world. It is an 1840’s store front on
the town green of magical Village of Kinderhook, New York. After an extensive renovation of both the
living and work spaces, Michael Devine Home, opened in September 2006. The store serves as an experiment
for both design and lifestyle. It has allowed me to marry my six and half years as style and party editor
for HFN Magazine with my passion for design.
The cornerstone of Michael Devine Home is Michael Devine Ltd.,
a collection of my original hand screened textiles, that inspires and motivates my choices of merchandise
in the store and interior design projects.
